November 16, 2011

Welcome to my new AKB48 blog, unlike my first one I won’t be posting much here. Just one or two post a week, the only thing I’ll be posting on a regular basis. Will be my monthly favorite AKB48 member ranking, and first week sales of CD releases within the AKB48 family.

I first discovered AKB48 around Mid-January 2011, I won’t get into the details just don’t have time for it now. At first I listen to a few of their CD’s, to no affect. When I got to ‘Heavy Rotation’, I started to pay abit more attention to them. When I heard ‘Lucky Seven’, I fell in love with that song, just had to check out the video. I happen to watch a concert performance of the song I notice Mariko Shinoda first she stood out from all the other members, who to me look all alike. I think it was the second or third time watching it, Tomomi Itano caught my eye and I fell in love with her. For about two weeks I spent a few hours a night on the net, to find out has much as I could about her. This was about the time her first solo single was release, for the first two weeks I was a Tomomi Itano fan more than AKB48 fan. From Mid-January until Mid-June (just after there 3rd Senbatsu Election), I must of spent a couple of hours a night checking them out, I definitely loss sleep during that time.

They’re my favorite musical act along with The Beatles, by far. Tomomi Itano was my first favorite member for about month, until Haruna Kojima took over as my favorite AKB48 member. She has held on to that title unchallenge to date.
