AKB48 26th Single ‘Manatsu no Sounds Good!’, First Week Sales.

May 31, 2012

Promoting The Single.

AKB48 26th Single ‘Manatsu no Sounds Good!’, which was release on May 23. Sold 1,616,795 copies in it’s first week of release, to rank number one on the oricon weekly single chart. It’s AKB48’s 13th Number one single, and 8th million seller. It’s the highest first week sales ever, AKB48 now have the top 5 highest first week sales ever. And 6 of the top 7 highest first week sales ever, according to the oricon charts. This single was release in 5 versions : 2 regular edition CD+DVD (Type A and Type B), 2 limited edition CD+DVD (Type A Type B). A limited CD Only Theater edition, which I think you can only get at there theater. This being the single to vote for your favorite member in their 4th senbatsu election, I bought 3 each of both regular edition and 1 each of both limited edition. For a total of 8 CD’s. This is Atsuko Maeda last AKB48 single, since she’ll be graduating from AKB48 in a couple of months. Acchan withdrew from the election about a month, I think this single could have sold close to 2 million copies if she didn’t.

This is my favorite AKB48 single in the sense that I love every single songs on this single.

My Predictions for AKB48 4th Senbatsu Election.

May 22, 2012

It’s that time of year again, AKB48 4th Senbatsu Election. To determine who will be in AKB48 27th single, release date and title to be announce at a later date. It will be held on June 6, at Nippon Budokan. Voting will be from May 23 to June 5, you can get a voting ballot to choose which member you like. Voting ballots will be available from AKB48 26th single ‘Manatsu no Sounds Good!’, which will be release May 23. Each single will have one voting ballot.

It’s a little different this year, as they increase it from 40 to 64. The participating members for this election will be 237, from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48 plus Kenkyuusei members from all the groups.

1-16 Senbatsu.

17-32 Under Girls.

33-48 Next Girls.

49-64 Future Girls (which I think is kinda funny since there will be some members there, who have been around for while).

I will have 6 voting ballots which all will go to my favorite member AKB48 Team A Haruna Kojima, maybe 2 more voting ballots coming. If it arrives on time, if it does then 1 more to Haruna Kojima. Not sure who to give the other one to will likely be Rina Kawaei or NMB48’s Kei Jonishi, we’ll see I won’t decide til the moment I vote. For anyone interested last year was my first time participating I had 10 voting ballots 8 went to Haruna Kojima the other 2 to Aika Oota.

My Predicitions.

Senbatsu (1-16).

1. Yuko Oshima (Team K) – This looks like a sure thing, but Acchan won’t be competing this year. Whether that will have an effect or not, I don’t know, maybe. Anyone other than Yuko at number one should be considered a big surprise and a big upset.

2. Yuki Kashiwagi (Team B) – The Big surprise last year, she could be the big surprise this year.

3. Mariko Shinoda (Team A) – Although I think Mayu will rank ahead of her, her fans always comes through for her, I shall not underestimate her fans.

4. Mayu Watanabe (Team B) – She always felt she’s Top 3, this might be the year.

5. Rino Sashihara (Team A) – Some would say her moving up 10 spots to number 9, last year was a surprise. Some would say considering the pushing she was getting, it was expected. Some would say a Top 5 this year would be a surprise, some would say considering the super pushing she’s been getting it was expected. I think she could rank has high as number 3. With Sasshi anything is possible even number 2.

6. Minami Takahashi (Team A) – She will get some sentimental Votes.

7. Haruna Kojima (Team A) – Last year I was so stress out at the possibility of her ranking outside the top 8, for a little while it look like she would. She actually moved up from the year before, I’m hoping for a Top 5. For this to happen no surprise from Sasshi, which is possible. I like to think all the votes, I’m giving her will make a difference.

8. Rena Matsui (SKE48 Team S) – A wild card.

9. Tomomi Itano (Team K) – Hate to say it, she’s on a downfall. If she can stay in the Top 8, it will be a good result for her.

10. Aki Takajo (Team A) – Just a feeling. My head tells me to rank Sae Miyazawa here. I’m going with my heart.

11. Sae Miyazawa (Team K) – Could drop should drop from a year ago, I wouldn’t bet on it.

12. Yui Yokoyama (Team K) – All that pushing.

13. Rie Kitahara (Team B) – My head tells me number 13, My heart tells me number 12.

14. Minami Minegishi (Team K) – For a 1st Generation member, who seems to have alot of fans. And is a pretty push member I’m surprise she never ranks higher than she should, 16,14,15 in the last 3 elections.

15. Jurina Matsui (SKE48 – Team S, AKB48 Team K – Temporarily) – I honestly think the reason she was place in AKB48 Team K temporarily, is so she doesn’t drop from last year rank. After all she is the Ace of SKE48.

16. Tomomi Kasai (Team B) – She drop big time last year, she should consider herself very fortunate if she can say in senbatsu (Top 16). Since last year election she’s been getting some push, a bit of Good Luck. Me along with alot of others, would hate to see her drop.

Under Girls (17-32).

17. Sayaka Akimoto (Team K) – 3 years in a row at number 17.

18. Sayaka Yamamoto (NMB48 Team N) – She’s the Ace of NMB48, so she could rank even higher. Maybe, get into senbatsu.

19. Amina Sato (Team B) – Just going to wish her the best of luck, hope she ranks as high as possible.

20. Asuka Kuramochi (Team A) – Being in French kiss, will help her.

21. Yuka Masuda (Team B) – A Dark Horse, as far as I’m concern.

22. Akane Takayanagi (SKE48 Team KII) – The most popular member in SKE48 outside of the Matsui’s.

23. Ayaka Umeda (Team K) – Although I think she could rank higher, I can’t see her ranking ahead of those rank ahead of her. Another Dark Horse for me.

24. Miyuki Watanabe (NMB48 Team N, AKB48 Team B – Temporarily) – I think I’m being generous, or I’m being bias ranking her this high. I honestly think the reason she was place on AKB48 Team B temporaily, was so she could get rank as high as possible.

25. Haruka Nakagawa (Team A) – I think she will surprise.

26. Aika Oota (Team A) – I hope she doesn’t drop again, I can’t stand to see Lovetan cry. She’s likely to drop (maybe big time), rather than moved up.

27. Shizuka Ooya (Team A) – On the rise.

28. Sakiko Matsui (Team K) – Shouldn’t be underestimated, she belongs to good agency.

29. Sumire Sato (Team B) – She’s had some good pushing, let’s see if it’s paid off.

30. Miori Ichikawa (Team 4) – I might be overestimating her, just like last year. When she barely made the Top 40.

31. Nana Yamada (NMB48 Team N) – I don’t know why I’m ranking her this high, I got a feeling she’ll rank nowhere this high.

32. Miho Miyazaki (Team B) – Another member I don’t know why I’m predicting to rank this high, maybe wishful thinking. She drop big time last year, this year could be even bigger. Their’s no doubt she’ll rank this year, it just won’t be in the Top 32.

There should be maybe 2 more SKE48 members inside the Top 32, instead of those last 2 members.

Yeah it’s a Top 64, I’ll just predict the Top 32.

Atsuko Maeda will graduate after Tokyo Dome Concert.

May 18, 2012

On May 17th Yasushi Akimoto has posted on Google +, that Acchan will graduate from AKB48. After the Tokyo Dome Concert and the AKB theater performance, the following day. Dates for these have not yet been announced, also her second solo single ‘Kimi wa Boku da’ will be release June 20. I don’t want to say I’m a know it all (Check my April 5, 2012 post), but this was logically the best time for her to graduate. The Tokyo Dome concert, is their big summer concert.

NMB48 4th Single ‘Nagiichi’, First Week Sales.

May 17, 2012

NMB48 4th single ‘Nagiichi’, which was release on May 9. Sold 375,785 copies in it’s first week of release, to rank number two on the oricon weekly singles chart. It’s their highest first week sales, this single came in 4 versions.  Bought 3 of the singles version,  I would have like to get the theater Edition also. Since I think you can only get that at there theater, it’s almost impossible for me to get. Great single, So far I’ve love every single NMB48 has release. Not just the Title track, but almost all of the songs in the singles.
