Final Results of AKB48 6th General Senbatsu Election (2014).

The final results of AKB48 6th Senbatsu General Election was announced, on June 7th. At Ajinmoto Stadium.

This is where fans can vote for the members who they want to be senbatsu in AKB48 37th single, which will be released in August of this year. Voting peroid for this election was from May 20th to June 6th, several ways you could have voted. Most of the votes probably came from buying AKB48 36th single ‘Labrador Retriever’, which had 1 voting ballot in each CD.

A Total of 296 members from AKB48, SKE48, NMB48, HKT48 and Team Kaigai announce their candidacy to participate in this election.

I had 8 voting ballots they all went to my favorite AKB48 member Haruna Kojima.

*Edit – I just had to add this I wrote on the picture above Rina Kawaei, was not present for the picture cause she was recovering from her injuries. She probably was. I don’t know where or when the pîcture was taken, if it was at the stadium or not. Anyways today (June 16) I finally managed to watch the AKB48 6th senbatsu election on video. Ricchan was actually there, she made a special appearance, I don’t think anyone expected her to be there. When they annonunce her name at #16, out she comes. Anna Iryiama wasn’t there though. It was nice to see Miku Tanabe and Yukiko Kinoshita reaction, when their names was announce. Also Riho Abiru. Hearing their speeches made me cry. You can add Rina Ikoma to that list also when they announce her name, I don’t know if she was shocked, acting or just out of it. It was kinda funny to watch, she really did look out of it.

How well did I do in my predictions, let’s see.

  1. Denny Sinnoh says:

I feel happy for Mayu. She is very deserving. I’m puzzled why Wasamin ranks so low. I wonder if her solo work in some ways diminishes her value within AKB48. I loved that great album of Enka-ballads she put out, but perhaps it does not resonate with most fans?

    • I would doubt very much her solo work, diminishes her value within AKB48. As for her ranking very low that’s hard to answer, their’s alot of members that I think are ranked low and should be ranked higher for whatever reason. The election 3 years ago she ranked for the first time and was Next Girls Center (#33), I think she ranked because of the release of her 1st solo single. Last year she dropped big that I couldn’t understand. This year her ranking is up 7 spots from last year.
The good news is evey year she’s getting more and more votes, than the previous year.

  2. anon says:

” Kaori Matsumura. No hating on her, I’m glad she’s not Senbatsu. ” me too and I hope that never happen. I wonder if Akip is now glad that there are more members of sisters groups in senbatsu than AKB girls.

    • I thought I was gonna get negative feedback, on not wanting kaori Matsumura to be senbatsu. All Aki-P cares about is $$$$$, yeah more than half of the senbatsu are from AKB48 sisters group. And this going to be an AKB48 single, it sucks. It’s all about money and surviving. If this helps, I’ll take it.

  3. anon says:

thanks for the list, I am sure it took a lot time. It was reported that Chinese fans give 35k votes to Mayu, so yeah that was the reason she got so many votes, and I am thankful for that jajaj more than a Mayu win I see this more a win for AKB.

I am glad Kojiharu went up 1 rank, though this year she had less votes 😦
