Watarirouka Hashiritai an AKB48 subunit group, was disbanded on December 25, 2013. I guess to commemorate it they release a Best Album “Watarirouka wo Yukkuri Arukitai”, on that date. The album sold 32,666 copies in it’s first week of release, to rank number 3 on the weekly oricon album chart. This album was release in 2 editions, a regular edition and a complete edition. The complete edition has every song they ever release, they’ve release 10 singles and 1 album.

I really like this group I’m sad about this, I like everything they ever release. To me this group was all win.

AKB48 34th single (The title is way to damn long for me write over again, check above),  which was released on December 11, 2013. Sold 1,033,336 copies in it’s first week of release to rank number one, on the weekly oricon singles chart. The Senbatsu Members for this single was determined by a Janken (Paper, Scissor, Rock) Tournament, which “Jurina Matsui” won. So she’s center for the single, the tournament was held in September. This Single was released in 5 versions including the Theater Edition.

AKB48 Group Draft Meeting.

AKB48 Group Draft Meeting took place on November 10th, at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa.  It’s a public audition where the managers and captains of AKB48, SKE48, NMB48 and HKT48 will pick members to add to their teams. A total of 29 candidates are available.

Before this their was 3 rounds of audition:

1st Round which was held August 12-September 3, was the application peroid.

2nd Round which was held September 14th, is the interview. From the successful applicants from above.

3rd Round which was held on September 21-23, is the Dance and Vocal Audition. Which 30 passed.

Back to the Draft.

20 girls got drafted to teams, has for the other 9 girls. Theater Manager of all 48 groups Tomonobu Togasaki, said they can audition for any of the 48 groups in the future. And can skip the primary examinations.

I hope this is just one time thing, I’m not going to question anything they do. You don’t stay on top by standing still, and playing safe. One thing about the world of AKB, they always keep it interesting like it or not. I think this is just a publicity stunt,  I just hope they don’t make this a yearly thing.

AKB48 33rd Single “Heart Ereki”, which was released on October 30th. Sold 1,203,586 copies in it’s first week of released to ranked number one, on the weekly oricon singles chart. I really love this single, for me it’s their best single since “Manatsu no Sounds Good!”, I would rank this in the top 2 or 3. Favorite AKB48 single. So many reasons for to me to like this single Haruna Kojima is center, Lovetan is a senbatsu member. Miichan is back to being a regular senbatsu, and also Ricchan and Annin are I think Mariko Shinoda and Tomochin replacement.

Results of AKB48, 4th Janken Tournament.

AKB48 held their 4th Janken (Rock, Paper and Scissors) Tournament, Wednesday September18th, at Nippon Budokan. A total of 83 members participated, in the tournament. 53 AKB48 Members plus 4 Research Students, 8 SKE48, 7 NMB48, 3 HKT48 and also members that are serving a concurrent position. 2 withdrawals NMB48 “Rikako Kobayashi”, due to injury. And AKB48 “Shiori Nakamata” who announce she will graduate from AKB48, not that long ago. I’m not sure, but I think her last AKB48 activity will be on September 23rd.

The Top 16 will be the “Senbatsu Members”, for AKB48 34th single. Which will be release in December of this year. Previous  Janken Tournament Winners are Mayumi Uchida in 2010, Mariko Shinoda in 2011 and Haruka Shimazaki in 2012.

This is great fun for the girls, alot fun for the fans to watch. Congratulations to the members who made “Senbatsu”, for those that didn’t. Hey, their’s always next year.

HKT48 2nd Single “Melon Juice”, which was release on September 4th. Sold 268,897 copies in it’s first week of release to ranked number one, on the weekly oricon singles chart. It’s HKT48 2nd number one single, selling just abit more than their 1st single “Suki! Suki! Skip!”. Which sold 250,147 copies in it’s first week of release.

I don’t like this single at all, I like their 1st single alot so my expectations for this single was high. Anyways, this single was release in 4 versions, including the Theater Edition.
